I was in the midst of trying to get something shipped to the La Jolla Gallery. I did ship out two black and white pieces painted in November but Liz wanted some larger pieces.   What you see above it the finished piece.  What you see below is part of the paintful process. I am sure God just shakes his head at most of us and our constant antics in life. Heck, my own husband shakes his head in amazement at me often.  Beginning to realize maybe that is n

It must be rubbing off.  He came in late last night before bed and sat on the couch in the bedroom and said, "You know I really love you. I do

Really fun. There is an amazing amount of self confidence building with these small sketches of line and color.  I know the power of God within is working for me because I am not in the way of the energy or the process.  I am allowing the joy to flow from my heart through my hands.

I began a year long course with Carla Sonheim called  THE YEAR OF THE SPARK. Reminding myself of the need to be open to more joy and to let go of all the things I cling to is not easy.  I happened on this course when fellow artist Kimberly Santini posted it on Facebook.  It only took me about three hours and I was signed up. I read up on Carla and watched some videos and decided to see if her course would open some new doors for me.  So last night I began my first lesson and although I covered at least twenty pages or more

It is not difficult to follow it. You will find Him surrounding you with your very first step. Pause as you do and take in the beauty of His spirit around you.  I am working on feeling Him with me throughout the day with both prayer and conversations. He really is here right now as I am typing this journal entry. Beautiful Flowers at the Arboretum When Terry and I visit the Arboretum we are amazed at God's hand in everything we see. I must be close to what the Garden of Eden was like but of course th

All the medicine in the world cannot heal someone if their heart does not want to heal. Loneliness takes the life of many people every day.. day by day, little by little, part of the mind and body pull further away from the world in their personal journey.  Sharing time with those you love is primary. Letting people know you care about them and you are invested in their life can make a difference. Make a call today to someone you love that you have not spoken to.  My oldest friend is in Austin. We have not s
