I guess that is where the name of the painting came from.  There are times in life we simply just do things with no regards to consequences for ourselves or others nearby.  Freedom with paint always leads to fun and exploration and this tiny painting is exploding with power and strength.  Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acc

I used the pulled effects in the background but I went wilder with the palette knife cutting up the paint layers on the bull itself.  If you know anything about stock you know there is a bull market and a bear market. The bull is what you want. Most of us want a balance in life for peace a

I did two contemporary horses paintings in the studio yesterday afternoon both went on panels primed with soft sherbet orange.   My color addiction always erupts.  I really had fun painting in acrylic for

I love the rusty red that flowed through this painting. All the colors of what I see outside appearing in brilliance on the surface.  Every now and then I have to do an acrylic painting. It will be back to Oils tomorrow. Long walks in the morning have been delicious.  Cool enough to wear a jacket but then by mid morning... getting warm again. This has to be my favorite time of the year.  “At no other time (than autumn) does the earth let itself be inhaled in one sm

Using the pulled paint method, the colors pulled together two visible horses in the painting. I decided to keep it simple and not pull so many bright colors into it. Not everyone loves a rainbow painting.  The mission in the studio is to enjoy my journey wo

A few of them get shuffled back to the easel and are restructured and repainted.  Usually those are the absolute best as they have building blocks of creativity over the surface making it all come together.   This is one of those. I was resurfacing the top with blues, mauves and saw a bit of brown pink coming through making a greenish tint with the blues... and from that was immediately born the Moon.  Then placing the painted ponies on the surface...behind them.  We have the Bad Moon Arising.  Lo

If your life is built on God's unconditional love , you have a wonderful foundation to work with.  We all make good and bad decisions. We cannot grow without the bad ones and the good ones leave us feeling reinforced knowing it flows from God through us.    As I worked on this painting I was stepping out of my comfort zone of explosive color. Color is the sou

I started on another painting that is a gift for my son, and it is in the process of coming together. I may only post one or two images because it is a gift and not something normal that I paint.  Is there a normal ? There are times we say no and times we say yes. Each of us reacts differently when asked to participate or do things with others or for others.  More often we say yes too much and
