"Time is a sort of river of passing events, and strong is its current; no sooner is a thing brought to sight than it is swept by and another takes its place, and this too will be swept away." Marcus Aurelius
Passing Events... Last week we were still finishing up sorting things for Good Will and cleaning and dusting and getting settled when Terry fell ill. Three days of massive headache, irritated digestion and wanting the pure silence of dark and quiet. I was so thankful when he smiled and cracked a joke on Friday morning. I stayed by his side trying to monitor his progress throughout the days, concerned to be watchful but not worried.
You know that domino effect? Well on Wednesday I had a Doc appt to have my allergy situation looked at. After four months of clogged throat I was ready to see what I had to think about taking. I am a NON medicine type person. I have not been out yet to pick up the needed meds. After you check with Pharmacist GOOGLE, you realize you should not take anything... too many side effects. Well so in the midst of this and riding in my Son in law's car... it created a huge back problem for me that is just now clearing up. More passing events.
I have clung to my faith, God walks all of it with me. I seek Him before all and try not to allow Stress and Worry to have a place in life. We went to visit Lady L's possible new school for the fall last week. I was way impressed. The administrator made a comment about not allowing 'What If's into your life. That was huge for me. Is it possible to stop that mind flow of 'well what if..."? The present moment is the most important one He has given us. Time to be centered and fully aware of this moment.
Passing events... let them pass and I will stay my eyes and heart on God. Laurie
